When South Africans refuse to pay delivery fees
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
This is just a typical day on the streets of South Africa…
South Africans are resilient people, and you can always rely on us to devise a plan when in need. Whether this plan is foolproof or not, does not really matter, as long as it gets the job done.
A recent viral video showcases South Africans’ plan-making skills in the best way possible.

The video, shared on social media platform X, shows a white Opel Corsa transporting a carpet almost twice its length.
This might seem like an impossible feat, but the driver managed to fit the carpet into the car with one end hanging out of the passenger seat’s window and the other end out of the boot of the vehicle.
It also showcases the lengths people will go to in order to avoid delivery costs.
