Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to Aimee Saunders, an organiser of a One Direction fan group in South Africa.

According to Saunders, the fan group will host memorial services across South Africa to commemorate Payne and celebrate his life.

"We want to come together to show support for his family and friends," the superfan said.

"All of us had hope for a reunion, but with Liam’s passing, that possibility dwindled away; it will never be the same. It’s very, very tragic."

Memorials for Payne will be held across South Africa, with three locations in Gauteng: Melrose, Midrand, and Benoni.
