Women’s residence in Stellenbosch burns again 36 years later
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Another fire broke out at the third oldest women's residence in Stellenbosch, but the cause is yet to be confirmed.

Huis ten Bosch is one the smaller ladies’ residences on the Stellenbosch campus. However, they’re name has been on everyone’s lips since 1983 because that is when the res burned for the first time. They are known as the ‘Women of Fire’ as a result.
The words have acquired a deeper meaning over the years because the women have a fiery passion for life and they take everything on like the flames of a fire.
