Barack Obama names SA artist on his 2024 Summer playlist
Updated | By The Drive with Rob and Roz
The former US president's playlist has become a hot topic in the last few years.
While South Africa is in its winter season, the Northern Hemisphere has been enjoying hot summer days and nights.
Barack Obama might be well known for his tenure as President of the United States of America, but he has remained pretty low-key since then.

One way he has remained up to date is by releasing his yearly summer playlist.
Artists and fans are always excited to see which songs have made it onto the list.
But if you think this is a list of the hottest songs of 2024, you have got it all wrong.

Obama's list isn't the Billboard Hot 100 and instead features the songs that he has enjoyed listening to over the warmer months.
He is known for throwing together quite an eclectic list and this year's is no different.
It does include chart-topping hits like Charli XCX's '365' and Shaboozey's 'A Bar Song (Tipsy)', but it also features The Rolling Stones' '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' and The Supremes' 'Where Did Our Love Go'.

The list also includes a proudly South African song from an artist who has been doing the most for local music.
