'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' combined film in the works

2023 was the year of 'Barbenheimer' and it's not over yet.
There are very few things that have captured the attention of millions of people at the same time like the movies 'Barbie' and 'Oppenheimer' did.

The movies broke box-office records and are pretty much the only movies people will remember being released in 2023.
Not only were they released in the same year, but also on the same weekend and leading up to their release the internet was filled with 'Barbenheimer' memes and jokes.
There were even recommendations on how to watch both movies on the same day.

Just when you thought it was over, 'Barbenheimer' fever is far from over.
According to The Hollywood Reporter a low-budget film, which will be a combination of the two original movies.
Charles Band, a producer and director known for his low-budget B-movie horrors, has confirmed that he is currently working on the official 'Barbenheimer' movie.

Some have already called out Band for making the film as a money grab.
It’s 100 percent true. But it’s also an opportunity to have fun with the bizarre coupling of these two movies and the combination of Barbie’s vibe and the darkness of Oppenheimer. You mix that together and you have such an opportunity for dark humor.- Charles Band

The story follows Dr Bambi J Barbenheimer, a scientist doll who is horrified by humanity's behaviours and decides to build a nuclear bomb to destroy humans.
That seems about right.
The movie has a budget under $1-million and they are still in the process of finding a director and a cast, but it's safe to say that Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling will not be reprising their roles for this one.
This might just be the movie we didn't know we needed.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see...
