Cape Town celebrates LGBTQIA+ community with rainbow pedestrian crossing

Cape Town is known for its vibrant LGBTQIA+ community and Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis welcomed the new rainbow flag pedestrian crossing in the city.
In August, the City of Cape Town introduced brand new traffic lights. The new road traffic lights are more visible to drivers.

"Something small but lekker," said Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis on Twitter.
A few months later, the Mayor welcomed the new rainbow flag road crossing in the city that celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community.

"We want all to feel welcome in our city where we embrace diversity and the addition of this bold pedestrian crossing to our road network will help spread this message."
