Cutting through the Black Friday clutter: Where to find the best deals
Black Friday offers
consumers an opportunity to land some great deals ahead of the festive season
and has become a global phenomenon.
Consumers have become wary of deals that aren’t all they're made out to be, though, so the Drive with Rob and Roz collated a list of some of the best Black Friday specials in South Africa this year.

In addition, shoppers can easily find themselves overwhelmed by the sheer volume of marketing messages that they are bombarded with, so the Drive team identified some items that they themselves would like to shop for this year.
Cellphones:
Huawei is offering specials both in the build-up to Black Friday (where you would need to claim a coupon) and on the day.
The iStore sale is also already on, both online and in-store, and includes deals on phones, accessories, and related products such as cellophane network deals.
Sneakers:
Superbalist has kicked off their Black Friday promotions already with up to 60% off on sneakers.
Televisions:
Game is going big this Black Friday and already has massive discounts on televisions, among other deals up for grabs.
Dog food, diapers, and more:
Makro's Black Friday specials have gone live already and they offer great deals on basics (everything from toilet paper to load shedding solutions) as well as high-end items.
Cleaning products:
Checkers' specials will run from Thursday throughout the weekend and there re great bubdle deals for cleaning products among the specials:
Takealot:
Takealot is offering early access to Black Friday shoppers and already has significant discounts available on, among other things, washing machines.
Engagement rings:
Sterns has started their Black Friday sale and if you like it, this is a good time to put a ring on it with specials offering 60% off already running.
