Elon Musk confirms that Twitter users will have to pay to get the verified checkmark

billionaire hit back at people complaining about the change to the platform.
Elon Musk recently concluded the purchase of Twitter and since then has made a slew of changes.

Some major changes include axing the entire board of Twitter and also changing how the verification checkmark works.
Musk revealed that in order to have the verified checkmark, users will have to subscribe to Twitter Blue for $8 per month.

He hit back at people upset about the change by saying: “To all complainers, please continue complaining, but it will cost $8.”
