The end of sleepovers? Why parents are not keen on them

Sleepovers have become a very contentious point in the parenting world.
There is no one way to parent.

Every parent has their own way of doing what they think is best for their child and it's one of the hardest jobs in the world.
One of a parent's main goals in life is to make sure their child is protected and safe.
But parents also have to deal with being criticised by other people about the choices they make in raising their children. Some of their harshest critics might even be other parents.

In 2021, Tara Huck, who is a mom of two, posted a video on her Instagram and TikTok pages where she revealed her unpopular parenting opinions.
The first one she mentions involves sleepovers:

This sparked a massive debate that is still ongoing today and probably won't be coming to a conclusion any time soon.
As it turns out, there are many parents who enforce this rule and it has become quite common practice.
Rozanne McKenzie is also a mom of two children who have started asking about sleepovers.
She is struggling to figure out how to navigate this new scenario and asked Jacaranda FM listeners if they don't let their children attend sleepovers, why?
