EXCLUSIVE: James Bay shares excitement about SA tour!
Updated | By The Drive with Rob and Roz
Internationally acclaimed and multi-Grammy award-winning, singer-songwriter James Bay is set to embark on a highly anticipated tour across South Africa for the first time!
The UK hitmaker’s artistry blends soulful storytelling with modern musicianship.
Now he's bringing his wonderful musical talent to South African stages!
It is my first time. I feel like almost everybody I know has at least gone on holiday or done some sort of fantastic adventure to South Africa and I feel like the last one. So I'm not only looking forward to coming, but I'm of course looking forward to playing shows.- James Bay

He’s been in the musical spotlight for more than a decade now, but ask James Bay if he’s satisfied with where he’s landed at this current moment in time and he’ll unabashedly tell you he’s never felt more proud than he does with his latest work, his new LP, 'Changes All The Time'.
When my insecurity sort of manifests it, it struggles to sort of communicate directly and finds it more therapeutic and just easier to express the struggles in the form of a song, or at least some kind of sort of art. I got to say there's something a little bit more sort of vulnerable, earnest and sort of perhaps sort of deeper.- James Bay
He’s released a Number One album in the UK (2015’s breakout debut, Chaos and the Calm), toured with The Rolling Stones, opened for Bruce Springsteen, been bowed down to by Queen’s Brian May for his guitar prowess, and this summer shared with longtime friend and ‘Hurt Somebody’ hitmaker, Noah Kahan.
Really the last four or five years that I've sort of, you know, thought a lot about kind of 11 year old me and thought, wow, this, if you could tell him this, it would be, it would be quite, he would be like amazed.- James Bay
