Football fan sends risky text to girlfriend ahead of new season

In case you might have missed it, the new Premier League season has kicked off!

The opening weekend has already taken place, with the Manchester United vs Fulham game marking the start of the 24/25 season.

That means that for the next 10 months, football fans will be spending the majority of their weekends in front of television screens, hoping their teams will finish at the top of the league table.

Football fans are making it clear that there will be little time for anything other than watching the games.

One Everton Football Club fan made this very clear by sending quite a high-risk message to his girlfriend.

The text has since gone viral but there has not been any follow-up post from the sender, Rob, about how his girlfriend took the news or what her reply was.

While many found the post funny, others called him out for choosing Everton of all clubs above his relationship.

Clearly this was just a little bit of a tease before the new season, so hopefully the couple will be enjoying the season together.
