WATCH: Four children narrowly escape being run over by stolen car

CCTV captured the suspect in the stolen vehicle, ignoring a stop sign seconds before the crash.
As it turns out, children might not even be safe walking on sidewalks anymore.

In a terrifying incident on Sunday, the 16th of April, a suspect in an alleged stolen Mercedes Benz was speeding along Metcalf Road, in a quiet Eastern Cape suburb, when they almost crashed into four children walking on the side of the road.
The driver had previously skipped a stop sign and closely avoided making contact with another vehicle. The driver subsequently lost control of the car as it barrelled down the street, luckily missing the children before being overturned.

According to News24, Ivan Stock, owner of Cradock Security, and two members of his team were assisting the police in locating the stolen vehicle after it was reported.
CDK Security members spotted the vehicle and quickly pursued and informed Cradock SAPS members. Criminals must never feel that they can pass through our small towns unnoticed - they will feel our presence.- Ivan Stock
There have been no injuries reported. The suspect has been arrested and charged for being in possession of a suspected stolen vehicle.
