Gauteng's most in-demand schools for 2024
The Gauteng Department of Education has published which primary and high schools have been the most sought after.
As parents and children get into the swing of things for 2024, there are only a few days left before students return to school on the 17th of January.

Many children will be starting primary school or entering their high school years.
Choosing a school for your child isn't always the easiest of tasks and at the end of the day, you need to hope they will thrive in the environment they now find themselves in.
Applications for Grade Eights opened in June 2023 with placements taking place in mid-September and there were some schools that stood out above the rest with the number of applications they received.

The Gauteng Department of Education posted a list of the top 20 primary and high schools that received the most applications.
The top primary school is Laerskool Akasia with 1,476 applications and the top high school is the Katlehong Manufacturing, Transport, and Logistics School of Specialisation with 2,641 applications.
