While the debate over which smoking method is more harmful continues, it's clear that neither is a healthy choice.

Research even suggests that certain flavours may pose greater risks than others.

As a relatively recent phenomenon, the long-term effects of vaping remain unknown, especially in comparison to the extensive studies on the risks of smoking cigarettes.

Although people tend to view vaping as a "less harmful" alternative to traditional smoking, it still carries its own set of concerning side effects.

One cosmetic and restorative dentist, Dr Stewart Beggs, has taken to TikTok to raise awareness about this issue, leaving many vapers shocked and concerned.

According to Beggs and other sources, this condition is linked to the excessive use of e-cigarettes and, essentially, results in a loss of taste.

What to do if you have vaper's tongue

If you've noticed a change in your sense of taste, there’s an easy way to restore it.

Consider reducing your vaping or, better yet, quitting altogether.

Staying hydrated is also important, as dehydration can contribute to this issue. Make sure to clean your tongue, brush your teeth, and use a tongue scraper to see if it helps.
