The Joburg Zoo plays an incredible role in the conservation of animal species, research, and education.

Education about nature and the world around us is vital for children and adults alike.

The land on which the Johannesburg Zoo is now built was donated in 1904 and was set to be used for recreational purposes.

Since then, the Zoo has grown into a popular attraction and has become a vital part of the Johannesburg landscape.

Petri Redelinghuys sent out a call to anyone who could assist the Zoo with some tree trimmings.
