Frozen Dead Guy, aka Grandpa Bredo, has quite a fanbase!
All countries have special days where they celebrate things that are meaningful to the country and its people.

South Africa has Heritage Day, the USA loves the 4th of July, Germany has Oktoberfest, and Brazil has Carnaval.
Something that's on Colorado's calendar that not enough people talk about is Frozen Dead Guy Days.
This is a celebration that started in honour of a man called Grandpa Bredo whose body was cryonically frozen after his death in 1989.

After that, his body was stored in the house of his daughter Aud Morstoel and grandson Trygve Bauge in Nederland, Colorado.
Since 2002 (with the exception of two years during the pandemic), every March, the Frozen Dead Guy Days Festival has been celebrated in this town.

Cryonics is the practice of preserving life by pausing the dying process using subfreezing temperatures with the intent of restoring good health with medical technology in the future.- Alcor
