LOOK: New Princess Kate portrait sparks outrage

The portrait of the Princess of Wales was featured on a popular magazine's cover.

Kate Middleton, the wife of Prince William, isn't the only British royal to have been captured in art form recently.

Artist Jonathan Yeo unveiled his portrait of King Charles, which shocked and surprised the public.

Now, another royal painting has been unveiled and it has evoked a similar response from people.

For their 2024 July issues, Tatler magazine commissioned a portrait of Princess Kate to complete a royal set.

They had previously commissioned works of King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and now it was Kate's turn.

Here is the controversial cover:

The British-Zambian artist Hannah Uzor, who was commissioned to create the artwork, also spoke about what this opportunity meant to her.

Uzor studied many pictures of Kate to make sure she got everything right and did the Princess justice through her work.

Unfortunately for the Princess and Uzor, the painting has caused some backlash, with many saying it doesn't resemble her at all:
