For their 2024 July issues, Tatler magazine commissioned a portrait of Princess Kate to complete a royal set.
They had previously commissioned works of King Charles III and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and now it was Kate's turn.

The British-Zambian artist Hannah Uzor, who was commissioned to create the artwork, also spoke about what this opportunity meant to her.
Uzor studied many pictures of Kate to make sure she got everything right and did the Princess justice through her work.
Unfortunately for the Princess and Uzor, the painting has caused some backlash, with many saying it doesn't resemble her at all:
Doesn’t look like Catherine at all. Of she wasn’t wearing that dress I’d have no clue as to who it’s meant to be.

Others have also been sharing their admiration for the work:
Am I the only person who likes this? It's art, not a photo.
