Can you imagine McDonald's without its bright yellow M?
Or Nike without its swoosh?

Logos form a big part of a brand's identity and play an important role in brand recognition.
There also tend to be many stories that are told sharing how these logos came to be.
The Nike logo is said to represent the wings of the Greek goddess Nike.

When it comes to movie logos, you might recognise them, but they are not as famous as other signs that feature in our everyday lives and don't necessarily pique our curiosity as much.
The Paramount Pictures logo is a beautiful logo that has changed throughout the years but one thing has remained the same: the stars.
History
According to TIME, Paramount Pictures is the oldest remaining film studio.
It was founded in 1912, and it quickly gained a reputation for finding and signing the biggest stars of the day.
From Mary Pickford to Marlene Dietrich, it had two dozen actors under contract in 1916.

The logo
The 'Majestic Mountain' was first drawn on a scrap piece of paper by W.W. Hodkinson, who is known as 'The Man Who Invented Hollywood'.
The 24 stars that form the semi-circle around the peak were said to represent the 24 actors who were working for Paramount at that time. Since then the logo has evolved to only include 22 stars.
If you want to see the logo in action here are a few of Paramount Pictures' latest film releases:
'Gladiator II'
'If'
'A Quiet Place: Day One'
'Transformers One'
