Meghan Markle takes shots at iconic movie franchises for racist stereotypes

a four week break from broadcasting, the Duchess of Sussex is back with a new
episode of her podcast.

In this latest episode of her podcast, ‘Archetypes’, Markle sat down with journalist Lisa Ling, and comedian Margaret Cho.

The three broke down the problematic portrayal of Asian women in films and television as being overly aggressive or overly sexualised.
Two movie franchises, ‘Austin Powers’ and ‘Kill Bill’ came under fire in the podcast as they have two very iconic Asian female characters.

However, the podcast eventually led to Markle talking about her experience of living in Los Angeles, and how she was immersed in different cultures.
