While entries for this year's hopeful applicants have officially closed, something about the 2025 entries caught people's eyes.

As it turns out, the Miss SA organisation has changed the rules and requirements for applicants.

Previously, the crowned queen could only turn 30 in her year of reign, but the age limit has been increased.

Applicants should be at least 20 years old and must be under 32 on August 30, 2025, meaning they can turn 32 in their year of reign.

The most surprising change, especially in the pageant circuit, that has been noted is that of the height and weight requirement.

Taking a healthier approach, the competition has announced that there will be no height or weight specifications or requirements.
