Moment man is struck by lightning captured on video

As South Africans, we all have a fairly good idea of how scary the sounds of rolling thunder and the flashes of lighting can be.

Unless you find yourself in the middle of an open field or a very dry forest, you are probably in some enclosed space like a house or office when these thunderstorms take place, meaning you're pretty safe.
Most wildlife adventurers and explorers tend to put themselves in less safe environments and there's always some kind of risk attached.

One of these wildlife biologists and TV hosts, Forrest Galante, recently got himself in harm's way and managed to capture it all on camera.
Galante recently uploaded a video to his YouTube channel called, 'I Got Hit By Lightning'.
In the video, Galante shows a clip of the exact moment it happened.

He was trekking through the Everglades in Florida when the incident happened and he could feel the jolt moving from his feet to his heart.

Luckily, Galante and his cameraman were not seriously injured, although he does say he still has a metallic taste in his mouth and a soreness in his legs.
