American online magazine and digital media company Mental Floss recently released a list of the most-Googled text abbreviations.

According to Mental Floss, this list was compiled by business admin experts at Vera by searching for the most popular text message abbreviations in sources like Reader's Digest, Preply, YourDictionary, and more. 

An online analytics tool was then used to determine how often these text abbreviations were searched.

The top three most-searched text abbreviations are SMH (shaking my head), POV (point of view), and NSFW (not safe for work).
