In a recent post on a popular Reddit thread, a mother asked for some advice.

The anonymous user explained that she had been to visit her sister, where she and her daughter joined her family for dinner.
According to her, things turned sour after her daughter asked if she could have another plate of food.
Her daughter seemingly insulted the aunt and the mother was reprimanded for their behaviour.

She was caught completely off guard and asked Reddit users whether or not she was in the wrong.
