Mother slams cartoon family for being good parents because they're millionaires

Are kids' television programs setting unrealistic standards for parents?
We all know that television shows are a fantasy world and rarely represent reality.

Not even reality TV shows do that.
It is necessary to ask though, how much of an influence do children's programs have on not only kids, but on parents?

A mother recently went on a Reddit rant where she criticised the children's show, 'Bluey'.
The premise of the show is: "The slice-of-life adventures of an Australian Blue Heeler Cattle Dog puppy as she has fun with her family and friends in everyday situations."

While the show seems innocent enough, the woman made some very strong points about how the show could make other parents feel inadequate:

While it might seem like a slight overreaction, a lot of other parents have now commented on the original post and shared their opinions on the financial situation of the 'Bluey' family - and most of them seem to rationalise the living situation:
In the end, it seems like the best solution to the problem would be to just look at these types of programs with the same childlike innocence our children do.
