MTV Shuga - How it is shaping young lives

MTV Shuga is a long- running drama series and multimedia campaign that aims to positively impact the lives of young people living on the African continent.
The MTV Shuga campaigns are part of an initiative by the MTV Staying Alive Foundation that set out to impact the lives of young people on the African continent through media and entertainment.

The foundation broadcasts to over 720-million households in 70 countries - and one of the longest running drama series is MTV Shuga.
The series follows a group of young Africans and is used by third parties as a teaching aid by educators, healthcare workers, and grassroots organisations around the world.

MTV Shuga aims to reflect the lives of young people and encourage them to engage in higher behavioural choices and empower themselves.
