But who are the owners of this house who are hoping to get some R700-million from this sale?
The house's owners have been kept secret for various reasons.
The Weekend Argus says that according to Martin Steinau of Camps Bay’s City Improvement District, they will not divulge any information about the previous owners for privacy, safety, and confidentiality reasons:
We are unable to divulge the owner’s details and not sure which agent did the initial marketing of the property. All the big players in the real estate business are operating in Camps Bay.- Martin Steinau (Camps Bay’s City Improvement District)

It's not just the previous owners and minds behind this creation that are being kept secret.
There is also yet to be any news on potential buyers as the house is still on the market.
Apparently, the house has never formally been on sale with no 'For Sale' board planted in its front yard. However, the house has graced the pages of many sites locally and internationally. So it has caused quite a stir.
Alistair Anderson, chief writer and editor for Property Flash, says that he has yet to uncover whether or not there are potential buyers.
The truth is that most people will never know who the owner was, is or might be, no matter how curious we are.
