Here's one more addition to your must-watch list.
There are many things that Netflix has gotten right over the years as a streaming service, but one thing a lot of viewers can agree on is that their documentaries are on another level.

Since branching out and producing their own documentaries, they have captivated audiences with their subject matter, as well as facing backlash and causing controversy with some of their projects.
But in the end, people love to watch it anyway because they want to be a part of the conversation.
In their latest offering, they take on a very controversial topic: vaping.

Since vaping took off and became somewhat "fashionable", smokers and non-smokers have been arguing about the health risks of vaping and whether it is better or worse than cigarettes.
The new Netflix documentary, 'Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of JUUL', tells the story of vape culture's biggest brands.
BIG VAPE tells the high-drama, rags-to-riches story of the controversial electronic cigarette company Juul which transformed from a scrappy Silicon Valley tech start-up run by two idealistic Stanford graduate students intent on making the world a better place into a multi-billion-dollar tobacco company that sparked an epidemic of youth addiction and lung disease.- Netflix

The documentary has caused quite a divide, with many saying watching this was "eye-opening" and has reaffirmed how unsafe these devices are:
Lmao it’s not funny but watching this #BigVape doc and they were really like we made a product less poisonous than cigarettes…but 1000% more dangerous.

This #BigVape docuseries on Netflix makes me look at you hookah and vape addicts with even more disgust. Two Stanford students created a whole new generation of cancer stick addicts smh

So I'm watching the Big Vape (Juul) doc and it's really good so far but I think it's disingenuous for the marketing team to say they didn't know children would take up vaping. Especially with the advertising that they did.

I was on the verge of vaping until I watched Big Vape on Netflix.

Other vapers raised the point that it has helped many stop smoking actual cigarettes, while also stating that parents should be more responsible for their children vaping, not the companies:
Watching The Big Vape: The Rise and fall of Juul, and vaping. I love my vape. Stopped me from smoking cigarettes. So many different views on it, but it works for me.

The problem is not Juul but American kids and their parents who cannot choose right from wrong. Parents who tolerate anything untill they cannot tolerate anymore. Why are children even smoking in the first place or vaping. #bigvape

I hate to see a brand go down that impacted my life in such a positive way. I’ve been smoke-free and vape-free for over a year now and I will always credit JUUL for that success. @JUULvapor #BigVape

While there is still much debate about which of the two is worse, one thing that everyone can agree on is that both are bad for the human body and should be avoided if possible.
