Pilot says he can cure your fear of flying

Aerophobia is the fear of flying, but one pilot believes he can help those who are looking to take to the skies and overcome their fears.

For years, many healthcare professionals, psychologists, and experts have been trying to find different ways in which they can help people deal with and "cure" their phobias.

According to Better Health Channel: "About one in six people have a significant fear that prevents them from flying, and about one in five regular flyers use alcohol or prescription drugs to 'help' them through a flight."

There are also different types of fears related to flying.

It can manifest as a fear of heights or enclosed spaces, a fear of putting your life in someone else's hands and not being in control, and often it originates from a previous bad experience on a plane like turbulence.

If you experience any kind of discomfort or anxiety when flying, or you have never even set foot on a plane because of this fear, then British Airways has some good news for you. 

British Airways Captain Steve Allright has been helping nervous flyers get over their fears by running the Flying with Confidence course, which covers everything from strange noises to turbulence.

The Captain also says that they have decades of experience with nervous fliers and they have helped more than 50,000 people through their courses.
