April Fool's might have come and gone, but some jokes can have some serious consequences.

One of the most important questions you might ask someone or be asked is "Will you marry me?"

People wait their entire lives to hear or say those words and there really is only one answer one wants to hear.

Unfortunately, not everyone considers the emotional and mental trauma one can inflict on another when doing a joke proposal.

At the start of the month of April, one Twitter user informed her followers that she had just witnessed the saddest most embarrassing exchange between a couple in a restaurant:

While our hearts break for the poor woman who was the butt of this unfortunate joke, it turns out she might be able to get her sweet revenge.

We asked lawyer Simoné Roets if this couple is considered to be legally engaged now because she did say yes to his questions and whether or not there are any legal implications this prankster might not have considered.
