Even after his retirement, Zelda stayed by his side for almost 20 years until his passing on 5 December 2013.
In those many years, she was able to learn invaluable lessons from Nelson Mandela:
I had this gift, this enormous gift of having spent time with this incredible human being. Why? I cannot tell you. However, I know that it's something to be shared. And I think I owe it to him more than the world. I owe it to him to tell people who and what he was.- Zelda la Grange

Now she's published what is sure to be another best-seller.
'What Nelson Mandela Taught Me' is filled with wonderful stories about the iconic leader and insight into what it was like working alongside him.
But Zelda also opens up about a more difficult time in her life:
Never say something on social media when you're angry. You know, I didn't use very diplomatic words in expressing myself. I was angry, which was completely the wrong thing. And that caused more division and just a devastating avalanche for me.- Zelda la Grange
The Drive team got the opportunity to have a conversation with Zelda about this learning curve, her new book, and so much more.
