Telkom explains removal of iconic Pretoria tower branding

Pretoria has been looking a little bit different these days...

If you have ever entered Jacaranda City there are a few things you definitely notice.

The beautiful purple trees, the Union buildings, and the Telkom Tower will instantly let you know that you have arrived.

Here's a fun fact: did you know that the Telkom Tower is not the official name of the building?

Although it has been sporting the Telkom branding proudly for years, the Lukasrand Tower is looking a little naked.

At the start of February 2024, eagle-eyed locals spotted something different about the tower and realised that the Telkom branding had been removed!

Luckily, you don't have to stress about the tower losing its iconic look just yet:

Hopefully, the tower will return to its full glory soon and the Pretoria skyline will keep its classic look.
