The movie is all about a rough around the edges ogre, who can be mean and angry, but he still manages to find love and form lasting friendships.
One of the most memorable parts of the movie is the introduction of Shrek and his home.
The ogre home is not your average home and he is very clear about not wanting any visitors.

There is now a bit of a plot twist as it turns out Shrek has asked Donkey, his best friend, to house-sit for him and anyone looking to spend an evening in the swamp can book their stay!
Shrek’s mud-laden, moss-covered, murky-watered swamp is situated among the rolling hills of Scotland where guests can stay up late, swap stories, and eat like an ogre – because in the morning, Donkey’s making waffles!- Airbnb

The stay includes waffles for breakfast, basking in the 'earwax candlelight' ambience, and using Shrek's infamous outhouse.
Airbnb will also be making a one-time donation towards HopScotch Children's Charity to honour childhood memories.
