With the price of weddings remaining steep, couples have had to get really creative with their plans.
Newlyweds Nova and Reemo Style have had to defend their decision to sell tickets to their wedding guests.

The couple went viral after it was revealed that they had charged people close to R6,000 ($333) to attend their wedding.
The Styles have a YouTube channel where they upload various types of content, and, of course, they filmed their wedding day.

After online users found out that they were charging their guests, the couple were interviewed by ABC7 and explained why they chose to do it this way:

Her now-husband was afraid that no one would show up to the wedding, but they did have guests who were willing to pay the fee.
They felt they were completely justified in their request, but there were still a few guests who did voice their opinions, saying: "Who do you guys think you are? Jay-Z and Beyoncé?"

The wedding guests and the newlyweds ended up going on a 12-hour adventure through New York City on a double-decker bus.
According to them, they saved $70,000 through the ticketing of their event.
