But have you ever sat around at a restaurant waiting for what seems like hours for your food to arrive, had your meal and then when you're ready to leave it takes another lifetime for the bill?
Sometimes it even seems that if you are in a hurry, the process takes even longer.
One TikToker recently shared a video of herself and a friend at dinner that had people debating the classic 'dine and dash'.

If you are not familiar with the phrase, it means having your meal and then leaving before you pay.
Lauren Petrosian, @daisyku_, took to social media and shared a video of her and her friend waiting for the bill after they had enjoyed their meal.
The issue is that the pair have been waiting for their bill for 45 minutes.

Lauren shows the viewers the state of the restaurant and also asks them "When is the appropriate time to dine and dash?" clearly frustrated by the situation.

Since posting the video Lauren has shared that it eventually took their server 90 minutes to bring their bill, which they paid and they also tipped their waiter 12%.
Her video has since been viewed 3,8-million times and the comments section has been flooded with people sharing their own stories as well as some supportive viewers who said she should have left:
