At the University of the Western Cape's final graduation ceremony of 2024, Rector and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Tyrone Pretorius presided over his last event with this title. Among the graduates was someone particularly special to him: his daughter, Tammy-Lee Williams.

Tammy-Lee earned her doctorate in philosophy and was lucky enough to have her father on stage with her to cap her achievement.
