It seems like common sense that lions, leopards, and other carnivores are dangerous, but even the humble, more docile animals can cause chaos.
Jason Toten and his family were recently on a drive-thru safari in Texas called Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.
Along with his wife and two-year-old toddler, Paisley, they were driving in their car along the allocated route in the park.

The video was captured by visitors in the cars around them.
Since then the couple have spoken about the experience and how terrifying it was:
By the time I, like, looked back over, she was gone. It was just really shock, you know, adrenaline sets in. Her falling to me, me having to catch her like, it’s all in slow motion.- Sierra Robert (Paisley's mom)

According to experts, the giraffe is clearly just very comfortable with human interaction.
The centre has also stated in its rules that the giraffes are the only animals that are allowed to be fed by hand and issued a statement to ABC News:
We were recently made aware of an incident involving one of our giraffes that occurred this past weekend," the statement read. "The incident was first reported to us on Monday June 3rd. The safety of our guests and animals is always of utmost importance to us. Although an incident like this has never occurred here previously, we are taking immediate action to make sure it won't happen again. Effective immediately Fossil Rim will no longer be allowing guests to ride through the park in truck beds. Fossil Rim offers a variety of experiences guided by knowledgeable staff so guests can continue to have up-close and memorable animal encounters, and support our mission to save threatened and endangered species.- Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
The family have also said that they bare no ill will towards the center and will be returning for more visits in the future.
