The alcohol in perfume can be very drying, and when sprayed onto the delicate skin on the neck and décolletage (chest area), it can also cause sun damage.

According to another skincare expert, Abi Cleeve, perfumed skin is more susceptible to UV rays, which can cause pigmentation and sun damage. As a result, you might see dark spots on your neck and chest.

These areas are usually more exposed to the sun.
