Updated | By The Drive with Rob and Roz
New drone footage truly puts the terrifying size of the world's tallest mountain into perspective.
While many have successfully scaled the beast that is Mount Everest, the mountain remains a place of mystery and danger.
If you are unfamiliar with the difficulties of climbing this mountain, here are some details.

The mountain peak is 8,849 metres tall, and the higher you get, the colder it becomes. The air also gets thinner, making it more difficult to breathe.
Scaling this mountain is a feat of physical, mental and emotional strength.
Climbers will always start their journey at Base Camp, which sounds misleading as it is already 5,364 metres above sea level.

As they make their way from Base Camp, they will reach four other camps further up the mountain. Only the most experienced climbers will attempt to reach the summit.
Most of us will never be able to view the world from the top of the highest peak, but technology can give us a glimpse.
New drone footage has been released, and it has put things truly into perspective.
The video has gone viral with over 1,5-million views, and for good reason.
