A vlog is essentially a 'video blog,' and viewers follow the influencer, YouTuber, or other social media personality as they film their day or other activities.

While many creators document their activities on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram have become popular platforms for this type of content.

Some creators might want to reconsider what they post on the internet.

CNN has reported that one woman recently got into a lot of trouble with the law through a video she posted.

Marlena Velez is a TikTok user who documents her life on social media. 

Her videos often include shopping trips and "day in the life" vlogs.

The Cape Coral Police have shared a press release stating that an anonymous tip has helped them track down Marlena Velez as a suspect in an ongoing case.

According to CNN, Velez had posted a video documenting a trip to a store, Target, and posted the video on social media.

The items she purchased seem to be consistent with the items that were stolen and she has since been arrested.
