If there's anything that people have learnt from the internet, it's that a public proposal isn't always going to go the way you planned.

It doesn't matter if you have thought of every detail and perfected the proposal down to the last little thing.
From parents ruining the video to losing the engagement ring during the big moment, anything can happen.
Every so often the affectionate and loving situation is ruined by one half of the couple involved.
One poor man recently had to deal with his public proposal going very wrong and the video has made its way around the internet.

The video begins with the unknown man whispering something into his girlfriend's ear and she stands up to hug him.
As this happens a piece of cake arrives and written on the plate are the words, "Will you marry me?"
What happens next, sadly, is clearly not what the man proposing expected:
