He has successfully guided the national team to two Rugby Championship titles, secured victory at the 2019 World Cup, and helped them defend their title in 2023.

There is no doubt that the rugby supporters appreciate and adore him as much as the actual players.

While Erasmus has joked about only using the social media platformX to keep an eye on opponents (like the All Blacks), he has recently joined Instagram and has enjoyed sharing bits of his behind-the-scenes life.

On the 22nd of December, he posted a picture of his beloved bulldog, Frank.

In his caption he mentions that Frank might be trying to tell him something.

Rassie kept to his word, and on the morning of the 25th, around 80 people joined him on his walk.

According to Netwerk24, Rassie was shocked by the turnout and expected just 6 or 7 people to attend.

Much to his surprise and delight, a large group was happy to spend Christmas morning walking along Blouberg with the coach.

He told Netwerk24 that everyone's situation is different. Some people are alone on Christmas; others are with family, people have had to say goodbye to loved ones, or their families are overseas.

He continued by saying that spending an hour with his rugby family, which he feels the supporters are, could fill a little bit of that hole.

Before the 6km walk began, the coach took a moment to talk to the group and asked them to form a circle and lock their arms into each other like the Bokke do.

During his speech, he thanked everyone for being there and said he appreciated them for showing up.

The conversation was light and fun as the group walked the route, and after some pictures, everyone went home.

Rassie took to X to thank everyone again:

Many of the attendees also shared their pictures and showed their appreciation for the coach:
