After his final match at Wimbledon, Andy Murray shared the story of how he met his wife.

Andy Murray is a Grand Slam tennis champion.

He has won Olympic medals in the sport, played extraordinary matches against some of the greats, and is an outspoken advocate for women’s tennis as well.

Murray has made quite a name for himself at Wimbledon as a two-time champion and has announced his retirement from tennis after the summer season.

The 37-year-old's parents, Judy and Willie, watched on as he said a tearful goodbye. Also in the crowd of onlookers was his wife, Kim, and two daughters Sophia and Edie.

During his very emotional interview with Sue Barker, he did take the time to thank his family for their support over the years, but the story took a turn when he shared how he and his wife first met.

Murray started by thanking Kim and said he couldn’t say goodbye without giving her a shoutout.

Many people might not know the story of how the two met in the USA while Murray was competing in the US Open.

According to Murray, he didn’t make the sweetest impression on his future wife while she was watching one of his games.

The two have been happily married for nine years.
