The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is an industry institution that has had many ups and downs over the years.

The first show was held at the Plaza Hotel in 1995, and since then, grew into one of fashion's biggest nights.

The show became iconic for various reasons. From angel wings and extravagant costumes that seemed to be topped year after year to mouth-dropping moments like Elsa Hosk wearing the $1-million Fantasy Bra.

Models dreamed of walking the famous runway.

But as the show grew, so did the criticism.

Not only was the fashion show being called out for its lack of diversity and inclusivity, but the company itself was also under fire.

Within a very short time, Victoria's Secret was surrounded by controversy, and the company had to do some serious introspection.

So the final Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was held in 2018.

Now, they have announced their 2024 return, saying, "We’ve read the comments and heard you. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is BACK and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more!"

Some of the biggest names in fashion will be returning to the stage, including Gigi Hadid and South Africa's very own Candice Swanepoel.

As always, VS have also booked some of the most talented performers, and one of them is known for her incredible music, stage presence, and iconic fashion.

It's the one and only Cher!

But Candice will not be the only one representing SA as hitmaker Tyla also joins the lineup.

VS made the announcement on social media, saying that both these artists will be part of the first-ever all-female lineup:

This will be another major moment for Tyla even though she has been racking up awards and performing on world stages for months now.
