The beloved player had an emotional moment after a very important rugby game.
The Springboks had given South Africans a front-row seat on the rollercoaster of a lifetime during the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
There were ups and downs and nail-biting moments.

When the Boks were once again crowned champions of the world we assumed the emotional journey would be over.
That was until the trailer for 'Chasing The Sun 2' was released.

'Chasing The Sun 2' is a documentary series that followed the Springboks on their World Cup journey, from start to finish.
The first episode of the second series aired on the 24th of March and the five-part series has once again captivated audiences.
It's given fans and sports lovers a very intimate look at what happens behind the scenes.

In the latest episode, Bongi Mbonambi has just captained the South African players to a narrow victory over the English team and it has clearly taken a lot out of him.
The video below shows Mbonambi crying in an empty locker room after the game, before Springbok coaches Rassie Erasmus and Jacques Nienaber comfort him:
This documentary once again shows you the true passion, hard work, and love these players put into this tournament.
