The Paris Olympics are well underway and viewers have been enjoying the days filled with sports.

Swimming has always been a very popular event for the duration of the Olympics.

South Africa's very own Tatjana Smith was the first of Team SA to win a gold medal at the Games this year.

She is also joined by fellow SA swimmers Pieter Coetze, Matthew Sates, and Kaylene Corbett.

There are years of preparation that go into hosting the Olympic games, with host cities having to build a lot of infrastructure.

One of the buildings that always generates a lot of excitement is the aquatics centre.

Like all those before them, Paris ensured it gave the athletes participating in watersports the best, most state-of-the-art venue.

The company that undertook this massive challenge was Myrtha Pools, which has been in the industry for over 60 years.

Myrtha Pools is no stranger to these mammoth tasks and as those who have been watching the watersports in Paris can see, they did an incredible job.
