Dinnertime in any household can be a challenge.

Figuring out what to eat, whether you have the time and energy to go to the shop, and then also cook the thing you decided on.

Now add kids to the mix and evenings become exponentially more chaotic.

In between preparing and eating dinner, you need to get the kids ready for bathtime, bedtime, and much more.

And it's not even 7pm yet.

But what if there was a simple way dinnertime could be made easier?

Two moms recently shared some advice that viewers have said has improved their daily family routine.

Often, when kids snack in the afternoon, and by the time dinner comes around, they aren't that hungry anymore.

What if you just switched around the meals and had an afternoon dinner?

It all started when Amiee Connor shared a video on TikTok in which she shared her afternoon dinner routine.

She tells viewers that her guilt grew as her children were constantly snacking, and she decided to start making dinner at 2:30pm because her kids were their hungriest at 3pm.

Her video racked up over four-million views as she explained how she prepared veggies, fruits, a smoothie, and homemade pizza for her kids.

She says that they can snack later if they want to.

One viewer even asked, "Did you just crack the code to getting through the 4-6pm craze?!? 😍"

Her video inspired many parents to make the change, and Paige Boyuk also decided to switch her kids' after-school snack to a full dinner.

Those who watched Paige's video agreed that they have been using this method, saying that "Early dinner and then a snack before bed" is the way to go.

While it is a helpful tip, every family is different and parents should find a routine that works for them.

Don't let society dictate how and when you want to feed your family. That's all up to you.
