Golden Retrievers are a dog breed known for being fond of water.

Of course, not all dogs are the same and even if you own a dog breed that is supposed to be fond of water, that might not be the case.
Generally, dogs who enjoy water will find any opportunity to swim in it, splash in it, and play with it.
Pancake is a Golden Retriever who loves water and spending as much time as possible in and around it.

He even has some very special water friends like dolphins and seals, although they don't get to swim together.
Pancake's owners have started documenting some of his adventures on TikTok, including a trip to the waterpark:

This is not the video that has left viewers baffled and confused.

In a video that has now been viewed over seven-million times, someone has filmed Pancake chilling at the bottom of a pool.
Pancake seems like he is completely unbothered, but no matter how fit he might be, there is no way for him to stay underneath the water in that position and for that amount of time.

Viewers have shared their many questions in the comments section of the video:
- "You better tell us what this is before we all lose our minds"
- "My mind ain’t minding 😂😂"
- "Why did this almost give me a anxiety attack? Good grief, I need to get a grip. 😭😅"
Luckily, some have shared how this is actually possible, saying, "I’ve been here. It’s an empty room on the bottom and the bottom is glass".
Some other internet sleuths have delved into Pancake's past videos and found one that could explain how he ended up underneath the water:

In the comments section, someone also explained: "so it's definitely a pool, right...but I think it's actually empty, and there's only about 6 inches of water on top of a glass ceiling. because the dog definitely wouldn't be panting underwater."
No one will know until Pancake's owners choose to share the trick behind the magic.
