VIDEO: Viewers confused by Christmas tree cleaning video

Tanja Bentley Ward recently went viral with her tree-cleaning video that grabbed a lot of attention.

In her Instagram post, she says she noticed how dusty her family's Christmas tree was the previous year.
After setting up a tree-cleaning and drying station, she cleaned the tree. To her surprise, it was much dirtier than she had thought.

At first, some thought she was cleaning a real tree, which would explain the amount of dirt involved, but they soon realised their mistake.
The comments on the video consisted of a wide range of feelings. Here are some of the top comments:

While some have been motivated to wash their tree because of the video, others have decided that ignorance is bliss.
