While it might be a favourite pastime for the local humans, some animals have started getting in on the action.
A video has recently gone viral that shows a little animal friend getting a bit too curious and excited about his human bodyboarding friend.
The video, which has been shared on social media, was captured by an unknown source and shows a bodyboarder in the water.

On top of the man's board is a black and white penguin!
The penguin seems extremely interested and curious about the inanimate object.
While the man is holding on to his board, the penguin casually keeps walking along it, seemingly enjoying itself.
Watch the adorable video here:
As cool as the video might be, a lot of people shared comments about why the penguin might have gotten out of the water:
- "When a penguin jumps on your board, you might want to think about getting out of the water too."
- "That would just make me wonder what the penguin was hiding from. 🦈"
Luckily it seems like the two just had a pleasant swim-session together.
