This A-list star wasn't always dreaming of Hollywood...
When you consider the most famous people in the world, the Hollywood stars, your favourite actors and singers, you would think that they all had aspirations of reaching the top.
It feels strange to consider that some of them had other ambitions and dreams before they became household names.

You almost can't imagine Taylor Swift not performing or Matthew McConaughey not acting.
One very well-known actor almost had a very different career path.
British actor Jason Statham is well known for his action-packed movies, in which he doesn't just act but also is a stuntman.

He's never scared to take on a daring scene and does many of his own stunts in these blockbusters.
Most people will know him from his roles in 'Transporter', the 'Expendables' franchise, and the 'Fast and the Furious' series of movies.
Did you know that he once was part of the Team Great Britain diving team?

At age 12, he joined the Great Britain National Swimming Squad.
Not only did he represent the British in the Commonwealth Games diving competition, but he had hopes of making it to the Olympics.

Unfortunately, he says that he got into the sport too late.

Although not many people seem to know about this part of his life, Statham has not been shy about his athletic past:
After his diving career came to an end, he started modelling, where he was spotted by director Guy Ritchie and cast in his first film.
The rest, as they say, is history.
